Little Theatre

Tickton Little Theatre was created to provide entertainment and enjoyment for the residents of the immediate area, and the high quality productions have attracted large audiences from the wider East Riding and beyond.

There is tiered seating, curtained stage area, theatre lights and sound system.   With guidance from the Arts Council in 1995/96,  a successful National Lottery Grant was secured to help with the initial setting up.

Tickton Little Theatre is run on a voluntary and self-financing basis.   Proceeds from the licensed bars, refreshments and raffles are used to enhance and further improve the facilities of Tickton Village Hall for all users.

Reservations for performances can be made by telephone or email.

Coming to Tickton as part of a nineteen venue tour,  with
‘Two’   written by Jim Cartwright
From the award-winning writer of Little Voice and Road comes
‘Two’ – a gritty yet heart-warming look at northern life filled
with pathos and humour.
Set in a Northern Pub where the Landlord and Landlady’s cheery
greeting and friendly banter barely disguise their contempt for
each other.

They met outside the pub when they were kids, had
their first drink there, courted there, had their Twenty Firsts there,
Wedding Reception there, and now they own the place.

During the course of the evening assorted customers pass through,
including a little boy left by his father, an event that triggers a
move towards a fragile reconciliation between the pub couple as
their secret tragedy, swallowed back for seven years, comes to a
head after drinking-up time.
